The Weeknd – Rolling Stone (Alias Edit)
It’s no secret that Portland producer Alias is a big fan of The Weeknd. His new lush underwater edit of The Weeknd’s “Rolling Stone” takes notes from his own catalog of R&B tinged beats. The dominant acoustics that distinguish “Rolling Stone” from the rest of the Thursday mixtape still maintain a central force in Alias’ edit. What’s new is a charged up chorus with scuffling percussion and Abel’s voice kicked up a notch from its former melancholic disposition.
