Though his name has yet to ring around the internet, Baltimore new-comer Ricky Eat Acid (birthed Sam Ray) has undoubtedly found himself merged between genre lines with an experimental take on contemporary pop. His recent cut of Rihanna’s “Only Girl In The World,” which surfaced in Jamie XX’s recent mix for Fact Magazine, has us all buzzing through its unorthodox use of vocals, delayed piano keys, spacial pads and head-nodding percussion. Don’t be afraid to skim through his catalog of free singles hosted on soundcloud, lots more of download-worthy material in there.
