A day or two ago, Thomas Meluch (widely known as Benoît Pioulard) summoned up his spectacular harmonizing abilities and posted this simplistic and highly moving rendition of Iron & Wines cover of the old Stereolab song ‘Peng ! 33′. A note that went along with it explained that he recorded it for his wife Nico (it being a favourite of hers), which is probably the sweetest gesture that I can think of.
