The Colorado genre-defying quartet DeVotchKa are set to release their fifth full-length album 100 Lovers on March 1st via ANTI-Records. 100 Lovers is their latest album since 2007 and the first single, “Contrabanda”, is streaming online to appease fans until the March release date. This Eastern European folk infused number features horns that abruptly blast against the crooning pipes of lead singer Nick Urata. Recorded in the Arizona desert with producer Craig Schumacher (Neko Case), the group has no doubt been influenced by their venture into cinematic soundtracks, including music for Little Miss Sunshine and I Love You Phillip Morris. 100 Lovers will also feature collaborations with members of Calexio and Thom Yorke percussionist Mauro Refosco.
